The present study investigates the factors affecting the adoption of cloud computing in higher education in order to provide a suitable model. The method of this research is qualitative and synthesized research which is done by using content analysis method with meta-synthesis. The statistical population of the study consisted of all studies from 2008 to 2018 in the field of cloud computing in higher education inside and outside Iran. From a total of 5 volumes of books and 75 articles reviewed from reputable internal and external databases, 38 studies were purposely selected based on the thematic relevance of the data. The data was collected through a study jack. In order to analyze the data, coding method was used for qualitative studies. For this purpose, 15 replicate components were identified and finally 74 concepts were extracted as main components. Next, the coding and categorization of the information obtained from the research, the theoretical foundations of the cloud computing domain, the main categories and themes were extracted.
